Where is it?
Outdoors in very south Austin (near Dripping Springs) at 11797 Rim Rock Trail, Austin, TX 78737. On your map app search for “Uprise Circus”
What should I wear/bring?
- Costumes are encouraged! Just be sure any long/loose parts are removable for safety during flying (ie. a cape) and you can move freely.
- There will be a bag check available so your hands are free throughout the night.
- We will have Rambler Sparkling Water, bottled water, specialty cocktails, and gourmet concessions on-site.
What if I don't want to fly on the trapeze/lyra?
Don’t worry! There’s plenty of other activities — performances and live music to enjoy, concessions to eat, cocktails to drink — grab your ticket and enjoy!
Are there age minimums?
Everyone is welcome and must have a ticket for entry.
- GROUND AERIALS (i.e. lyra, static trapeze, photo booth) has no age restrictions.
- FLYING TRAPEZE has no set age restriction, however participants must be able to 1. fit into our standard-size safety belts and 2. keep attention through the swing (usually ~6yo, but coach’s discretion).
What is your weight policy?
We are committed to working with people of all abilities, sizes, and backgrounds to experience the transformative power of circus.
In order to safely participate in the high-flying portion of a class, students must wear our safety belts and have the grip strength to hang from a 1″ bar for 20 seconds, which can be affected by things such as weight or previous injuries.
Fortunately, all other circus activities are available for guests who are not able to swing on the flying trapeze at the time of this event.
What if I'm afraid of heights?
No problem! All of our activities, except flying trapeze, are less than six feet off the ground.
Flying trapeze is considerably higher, however, we work through many fears with our flyers and you never have to do anything you don’t want to do.
Can I pay less if I just want to watch?
Because this fundraiser has an extremely limited number of spots all entries must be ticketed
Can I bring my own alcohol?
Outside beverages (except water) are not permitted — but our event is sponsored by Tito’s Handmade Vodka so enjoy a free cocktail after you fly!
Is food included in my ticket cost?
Yes! We have a variety of concessions and they are included with your ticket.
Can I get a refund?
Thank you for your contribution to our fundraiser for outreach student programming. There are no refunds.
What if it rains?
We will postpone the event for one week. There are no refunds.
